To give great cause for hope this new year in the fight against crime in New Orleans, the New Orleans Crime Coalition will release new conviction statistics, marking the tremendous progress of the newly established Violent Offenders Unit (VOU) within the District Attorney’s Office. The statistics demonstrate systematic improvements in the Criminal Justice system and reveal an invigorated momentum that promises future success removing violent criminals from the streets of New Orleans with unprecedented speed and effectiveness.
