CHAT is urging residents to respond to the Action Plan Amendments announced by the LRA. The deadline to respond is 5pm on Saturday, August 23. According to a new law, the LRA should have included in this amendment additional language that would provide a fair and impartial process to applicants still waiting for an appeal as well as providing for an independent agency to oversee the appeal process. The LRA did not include this in the amendment, and CHAT is urging the public to make it known to the LRA that a new, independent appeals process is necessary for the Road Home program.
